Gombe is the capital of Gombe State, in the northeast. It is not Kano. Kano is a much larger commercial and industrial city with a short Sahelian wet season spread across markets and factory estates. Gombe is a smaller capital where a single wet season drops hard rain onto a town that has spread across drainage lines. Roofs leak here, and rain also runs through streets. Those are different sentences. A roof quote is not a promise to rebuild the drains.
Micheletti Construction is based in Abuja and takes Gombe work. There is no Gombe office and no street address on this site.
One wet season, peaking in August
Studies of Gombe metropolis describe a tropical continental climate: rain concentrated between about May and September, with a single maximum in August. One paper puts average annual rainfall at about 863 mm. Another, citing the same line of climate work, puts it at about 835 mm and notes relative humidity around 94 percent in August and under 10 percent in the Harmattan. Those are study averages for the town, not a forecast that next August will match the millimetre. They are also not Kano’s 110-to-150 rainy-day band, and not Lagos’s long coastal season.
A November 2022 NiMet note listed Gombe with Kano and other northern places for dust haze, and described the northern dry season as little or no rain, dust, cold nights, and hot days. So the gutter in Gombe still fills with fines before the rains, the way an Abuja gutter does. The difference is what the rain does when it arrives: published flood records for this town name particular neighbourhoods, because the water does not only come through the sheet. It also comes down the streets.
Streams in the metropolis are described as flowing from the higher ground on the Akko side, to the west, toward the east. Gullies show up where that runoff cuts through built-up ground. A stain in a ground-floor room after a short violent storm may be the eaves, or it may be water driven in from the compound. Say which. A new ridge cap will not stop street water.
Neighbourhoods the papers actually name
A 2017 rainfall-and-flood paper listed areas hit by a July storm that year: Jekadafari, Shamaki, Federal Low-Cost, Bolari, Pantami, Tudun Wada, and Barunde. A later flood-risk study placed very high to high risk at Barunde, the GRA and Gabuka, Pantami, Dawaki, and Tudun Wada, and moderate risk at Jekadafari, Herwagana, and Bolari/Madaki, among others. A 2022 paper listing residential neighbourhoods includes Pantami, the GRA, Federal Low Cost, Tudun Wada, Dawaki, Bolari, Jekadafari, Shamaki, Madaki, and Kumbiya-Kumbiya.
Those names are places to write on the form. They are not a list of roofs Micheletti Construction has finished, and this page shows none. If your house is in Pantami or Tudun Wada, say whether the water came through the ceiling during rain or rose from the compound. If it is in the GRA, say whether the roof is a simple metal span or a house with a parapet. This pass does not give each of those neighbourhoods its own page.
Houses and shops, not a copied industrial estate
Most quote requests in a capital of this size are houses, small shops, and the odd warehouse, not a Sharada-scale factory belt. Metal sheet is what you should name if that is what you see: long-span, corrugated, or a mix where a wing was added. This page does not claim a percentage. Heat still sits on a single-skin roof in the months before May. Say if people sleep under it.
Shops along a commercial street have the same occupation problem as elsewhere: the shutter may not close, and there may be no yard for old sheets. A low-cost estate and an older compound in Bolari are not the same access. Write the storeys and whether a tenant is under the slope.
The dry-season dust still matters. An outlet packed with Harmattan fines fails on the first hard rain, which in this climate often means a short, heavy fall rather than a week of drizzle. If the ceiling marked once and the compound also flooded, do not let the roof quote pretend to be the flood works. Describe both, and expect the roof scope to stay the roof.
Checklist
- Neighbourhood: Tudun Wada, Pantami, Jekadafari, Bolari, Herwagana, Federal Low Cost, GRA, Dawaki, or another name you use.
- Did water come through the roof, through the compound, or both?
- House, shop, or a larger shed. Which ceiling?
- First heavy fall of the season, or every storm through August and September?
- Is the sheet one slope, or a later wing meeting the old roof?
- Can people leave the room underneath while it is opened?

The company base published here is Abuja. Gombe work is taken from there. Do not look for a local yard or a plaque in Pantami. The company site has a Gombe page at Micheletti Construction in Gombe, and building quotes are at Nigeria Building. This page is the roof.
Choose “Another city” on the form and type Gombe plus the neighbourhood. Reach Micheletti Construction on WhatsApp at +234 803 667 9688 if you want to start that way. The form is still how the roof gets described. If the city is Kano, use Kano roofing. There is no price list and no second phone number.
